Columbine Caregivers was founded in 1989 by Sharon Chmura in Grand Junction, Colorado to provide home care and senior citizen assistance and services to residents of Western Colorado. Columbine Caregivers is known as one of the finest providers of in-home care in Western Colorado, having provided assistance to area families for over twenty years. Michael and Paula McCormick are the current owners and operators of Columbine Caregivers who are privileged to continue the tradition of excellence in service provision established by Ms. Chmura. Michael was assigned to Ft. Carson Army Hospital in Colorado Springs in the early 1980's. In 1984, Michael began his career as an administrator of senior retirement communities and nursing centers that ended in 2007, when he and Paula agreed to purchase Columbine Caregivers. Michael is a member of the Grand Junction Downtown Rotary Club and is on the Board of Directors of the Grand Junction Symphony. Paula has been working as a gerontological social worker since 1985. She is a licensed social worker in the State of Colorado and obtained her Master's degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.
